This tutorial will show you how to change your blog summaries to use excerpts instead. This is useful if you want a consistent look at your blog home page (and categories).
NOTE: Excerpts will hide all formatting and page elements from view but will be seen when the full post is viewed.
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Blog Settings.
- Find the Blog Summary Type setting and select the Post Excerpt option.
- In addition to excerpts, you can also change how many words to show for excerpts. Simply adjust the Excerpt Length setting to what you want.
- Click the
Publishbutton.
