There are more advantages to using excerpts over the standard method WordPress does where you need to insert a “more-link” into your post editor to create a split. This theme gives you the option to use either method—although some blog layouts (including the pro version) require excerpts.
NOTE: Some blog layout styles use excerpts by default and cannot be changed.
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Blog Options
- Look for the section Blog Excerpts and manage your excerpts to enable and/or adjust the number of words to show. The round arrow is the reset for the length option.
- Click the Publish button.
