As the live demo site shows, Serifi Pro includes a splash (landing) page template that you can use for your website’s front page.

Whatever you decide to do with your splash page will be up to you, but showcasing a large image as you see on the Serifi demo website, can give an amazing impact.
Because the image is using the WordPress Header Image feature, you can upload multiple photos and enable the random option. Each time you revisit or refresh the page, a new photo will appear.
Setting this up will be similar to the WordPress tutorial on how to use a static front page. Basically, you need to make two pages, one for your new front page and one for your blog posts to show up.
Here is a link to a WordPress static front page.
Making Your Splash Page
A simple process to get the base page created.
- Go to Pages > Add New
- Title your page and then from the template selection, choose the Splash template.
- Build up your page as it suits your website’s needs, whether with basic content or utilizing blocks.
- Click the
Publish
button to finish your page.
Adding Your Image
To set your image (photo), we will be using the WordPress Header Image feature.
- Go to Appearance > Header
- From here, you can choose what photos to use/upload.
- If you upload more than one, you can click on the randomize button so that they change when people visit your front page.
- Click the Publish button.
Your site’s title and site description will show up here (if they are enabled in the customizer’s Site Identity tab).
Adding a Splash Menu
The live demo for Serifi is using a menu with just a single menu item, but you can put more links into your menu as you need.
- Go to Appearance > Menus
- From here, create a menu and name it Splash Menu (or whatever you want).
- For menu settings location, check the box next to Splash Menu.
- Click the Create Menu button.
Adding the Mini Blog Section
Just like the blog home page, you can add a welcome introduction to your splash page mini blog section. This only shows on the splash page and is also a feature of Serifi Pro.

NOTE: If you plan to add the mini blog welcome intro, you need to make a page for this. Create a page, title it, and write a small welcome message as the content.
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Other Options
- Look for the Hide the Mini Blog setting and make sure the toggle is greyed out (disabled).
- There is another setting for adding a mini blog welcome intro; from the drop-down list, choose the page that has your welcome message.
- Click the Publish button.
