The method to update your free or premium theme from Rough Pixels will be the same. When you first log into your admin area (the dashboard), you will see an update notice for your theme. Whenever we upload an update, a notice goes out to everyone who is using it.
There are a couple of ways that you can update a theme:
- Updates – Clicking on the Updates menu link
- Themes – Going to Appearance > Themes
For example, go to Appearance > Themes and click the Update Now link.
NOTE: Updating our Premium Themes will have the same notifications.
Updating the Pro Plugin Versions
When it comes to our newer premium themes, we have moved to plugins as our form of adding pro features. Updating the pro plugin for a theme is just like updating any other WordPress plugin. You get a notification of a plugin update, you just click the update button or link.
This method applies to 2022 themes:
- Alurra
- Serifi
- Fifty50
- unBlock
This will also apply to all future themes throughout 2023. If you are unsure, please feel free to contact us and ask if the theme you are using has the pro version as a plugin or theme.
