Most of our themes include the option to enable automatic thumbnail creation every time you upload a photo. If you want to maintain a consistent thumbnail size for blog posts, widgets, and anything else that uses thumbnails, this makes it easier for you.

NOTE: The location and settings for your theme’s Thumbnail Options may vary for each theme, but will be very similar.

  1. Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Thumbnail Settings.
  2. Choose the type of thumbnail(s) you want to crop when uploading.
*We recommend checking the boxes for “only” the ones you want to generate.
  3. Click the Publish button to update the customizer.

Photo Thumbnail Quality

Every time you upload a photo to your website, whether for a blog featured image, a widget, or other, we recommend you use quality photos.

Keep in mind that if you upload a small photo, thumbnails like WordPress Media settings for thumbnails, will not size up (to be larger). It’s best to start with larger and good quality, sharp images.
