This tutorial will show you how to change your blog summaries to use excerpts instead of the full post. It should be noted that when you use excerpts, any formatting, including images, will be removed. However, when viewing the full post, everything will return.
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Blog Options.
- Find the Blog Summary Type setting and select the Post Excerpt option.
- In addition to excerpts, you can also change how many words to show for excerpts. Simply adjust the Excerpt Length setting to what you want.
- Click the Publish button.
NOTE: The option to use excerpts is ONLY for the Classic and Wide blog layouts.
